Can someone please give me a run down on what classes are running now? We have been away from racing for quite a while but my boys want to try again. We have an RC10T4 and a Duratrax Evader(old Losi clone). Thanks.

Hey Bob,

In electric 1/10th scale it is corr trucks. The rules are pretty loose but basically any stock 2wd corr truck is allowed. You can use your own radio and switch to a brushless 17.5 system if you like or just run it as it comes. The brushless system is nice because there is almost zero motor work required. They are also very efficient so they run cooler and will run longer on a charge but they aren't any faster than the stock electronics that come in the corr trucks.

Nitro wise it is 1/8th scale buggy and truggies.

Feel free to bring the kids out. They can run the trucks you have with the corr trucks and see if they like racing. If they take interest in it I'd highly recommend looking into getting a couple of traxxas slash trucks for them. They are nearly indestructable and handle very well right out of the box on just about every track that I have been to.
